If there’s a good sale, I buy a thing.
Even if I don’t need the thing.
As they say, a man will pay $2 for a $1 item he needs — and a woman will pay $1 for a $2 item that she doesn’t need.
That’s how I ended up with The Cocoa Mug.
It’s a wallhanging, that once upon a time I thought would make a cute gift for … somebody … eventually … so I bought it.
BEFORE AFTER
That must have been seven years ago.
Never gave it as a gift. It just sat in first one basement, then another, and another. (This thing seriously moved with me between AT LEAST four homes, possibly five.)
Then a few weeks ago, it crossed my path again — and I looked at it in a new light.
Instead of being a “someday gift for someone” sitting around collecting dust —
It could become a canvas!
Enter: Sandpaper, spraypaint, and Squiggles The Octopus.

Teal is my favorite color at the moment, so I had that particular spraypaint on hand — hence the color I chose (make use of what you have, right?!).

Now this little guy is up on Etsy!
(And with free shipping, too!)
Kinda fun what you can do with a canvas you already have 🙂
